Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteering and helping the community is an important way to serve God and follow in Jesus' footsteps by showing love to our friends and neighbors. Here are some volunteer oppurtunities you can do to help others. Thank You to everyone who chooses to volunteer!

Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive

Stamp Out Hunger is the largest single day food drive in the nation and one of the easiest ways to make a difference in the community. On May 11th, letter carriers all over the country will be performing double-duty by collecting bags of food along mail routes and delivering them to local food pantries. Fill the blue bags and leave them for letter carriers on Saturday, May 11th.

Stamp Out Hunger needs volunteers to help to gather and sort through these donations for western Kenosha County.

There are four shifts they need help with:

  • 10:30am-1:30pm 12 volunteers needed: 6 will need to have a SUV, van or pickup with a cap or cover (6 trucks, 6 drivers, 6 helpers)
  • 11am-2pm: 2 needed at the Salem Post Office
  • 11am-3pm: 30 needed at the Sharing Center
  • 3pm-6pm: 30 needed at the Sharing Center
