Mission Statement:  Messiah Christian Preschool offers God’s children a Christian setting in which to grow, to learn, and to develop spiritually, intellectually, and socially. We believe that by offering a Christian early childhood program to preschool children, we are providing a safe, secure place in which we nurture and help them to develop a positive self image and good relationships.

Messiah Christian Preschool is a non-profit, developmental preschool and our role is to work closely with parents in providing a positive first step toward preparing children for school. According to the National Association for the Education of Young Children, a major determinant of program quality is the extent to which knowledge of child development is applied in the program. Children learn most effectively through a concrete, play-oriented approach to early childhood education. Together with the need for emotional security, physical development is the most important part of the young child’s life. Social, intellectual, and spiritual development will begin to happen as those first two needs are met. It is our goal to provide children with the opportunities to grow in all areas of development through the learning centers that we provide. 

          We commit to offer a thematic approach to learning, integrating the curriculum through varied-interest centers that promote language & literacy, critical thinking & problem solving, and learning through exploratory multi-sensory experiences. This allows each child to reach a higher level of thinking and understanding by creating an environment that is exciting, dynamic, multi-dimensional, and fun. Emphasis will be placed on developing fine and gross motor skills, language skills, cognitive skills, self-help skills, and a positive self-concept.  

Purpose & Objectives: As a Christian preschool, development of Christian faith is a goal in program planning. Activities shall be planned that add to the spiritual life of young children. As Christians, we shall teach preschoolers to:

- see themselves as God’s children

- feel secure in God’s love

- see their world as God’s creation

- grow in a desire to care for God’s creation

- respond to God’s love by caring for others
